FACILITY REPAIR UPDATE: We closed eff 16 Feb for repairs. What was supposed to be a relatively simple process turned into much more due to the age of the facility and our imposed requirement to obtain a permit. After submitting plans (commercial facility is more stringent), a city inspector provided conflicting information that required us to again submit on 1 May and subsequent dates with expanded information.
KNOW that from day 1, our membership unanimously approved our contractor who is licensed in two states and is properly bonded and insured; the Board of Directors verified this. We have a few members who would rather spread lies and disinformation via Facebook that will not be responded to, NOR TOLERATED, by this Commander. As with other organizations, we have a few disgruntled members that complain, interfere, etc., yet do NOTHING constructive for the organization. Our name change to Kearny Mesa Post 3788, the original name when founded on 27 Jan 1957, has been reinstated with an effective date of 10 September 2026.
POST MEETINGS: The next regularly scheduled business meeting will be held on 15 Oct 2026, 1900 hrs, at the VFW Mission Valley Post 3787.
When open, our hours are: Monday through Thursday we open at 2 pm until closing. Friday through Sunday we open at 10 am until closing. Our closing hours depend on the participation of the members. You will be amazed. Come and use it - do not come and lose it!!! Your participation is needed!!
