The VFW 3788 Riders Chapter's organizational and implementation efforts began with Founders Steve "DJ Steve" Esquilin, Jack "Chief Jack" Porath, Cindie "Cindie" Chamberlain, and Joe "Hillbilly" Thole in July 2024. The Standard Operating Procedures, Bylaws, etc., were drafted with final approval by National Hq on 22 August 2024.

The Veterans and Auxiliary must be active members of Post 3788 or its Auxiliary, whereas the Supporters need not be Post or VFW members. The VFW Post 3788 Riders Chapter does not require members to own, operate, or ride motorcycles. Rather, members support and participate in the events and the activities of the Chapter. When participating, those in vehicles follow the motorcycles and assist as may be needed. There are two scheduled "Rides” each month and the Chapter frequently participates with the activities of other Chapters. The goal of the members of the Chapter is actively supporting the Post and having fun.
